Hello!
My name is Justine Buzalka and I am a counselor trainee from Cleveland, Ohio. I am passionate about supporting people from a multitude of backgrounds who experience mental health concerns. I work from a psychodynamic approach focusing on solution-focused and strength-based methods to support clients. I understand that life can be overwhelming and difficult to manage, and my goal is to help clients feel empowered by recognizing their inner strengths and helping them create actionable change to enhance their futures. I welcome clients that hold any and all identities, including those who are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community and racial/ethnic minorities.
In 2016, received my undergraduate degree in Strategic Communication from The Ohio State University. I am currently a student in Northwestern University’s Counseling Master’s Program working toward an LPC licensure. I am working under the supervision of Jacquelyn Casalina, Co-Founder of Cleveland Therapy Group. I come from a background in business development and have several years of experience working in corporate America and the non-profit sector. This background gives me a unique prospective and insight into the everyday lives of clients in the corporate world and enhances my understanding of workplace issues and pressures that some clients are facing.
I would love to establish a therapeutic relationship with you either in person or through telehealth sessions and help you work toward mental wellness. At this time, I only work with adults in one-on-one sessions.
